Sharion Coast
Shining Resonance Refrain pivots between enjoyable and very dull moments. For every good aspect, there is another that undoes it, while everything else is strictly mediocre. If players are in desperate need of an action JRPG and have somehow managed to exhaust all other options, then Shining Resonance Refrain may fill part of the void.
There isn't much to do in Sharion Coast, head to the side of the area, and use the campfire to fully restore your party. Then save your game. When you're ready go inside Coral Caves.
Coral Caves
As you're inside the caves, you can find Excella and Beatrice on the center. Speaking to them will trigger an event that will lead to a boss battle.
This fight is not as hard as the battle with Zest. Even though there is two of them, they don't hit as hard. Excella mostly uses skills that can pull your party toward one area, while Beatrice has a dangerous aura around her making you lose health as you fight her. Overall, this fight isn't that difficult, but make sure you go overboard on your supplies and there is another boss fight after this one.
Caliburn is another dragon boss similar to those that you have fought at the end of each chapter. Though Caliburn is probably the easiest of the Dragon bosses, Caliburn mostly remains airborne and doesn't do anything dangerous. Usually, what will happen in this fight is that Caliburn will cast a ball of energy that will pull your party so it can sweep you with its tail. There is one attack you will need to watch out for, is when Caliburn charges up, it will shoot a massive beam that can nearly K.O. everyone in one hit. If you have the Shining Dragon and a B.A.N.D. session ready, this will be the best time to use it.
Once you have defeated Caliburn, the chapter will conclude.
Just for starter, i play this game on the switch rather then the PC but that probably have nothing to do with this.So there has been 2 boss fights that just kicked my ♥♥♥ on the standard difficulty and where i felt that i had no energy left to deal with them again. So i tuned down the difficulty to beginner just for those fights.
But the differences in just HP is insane IMO.For me it almost feels like one of those cases where they removed the medium difficulty and just named the hard one standard for some reason.Anyone else who have had the same experience or is it just me who might be underleveld for those fights specificly?PS: sorry if there is any missspellings. I bought the game on a sale, and came to the forums to see if this question came up. Second real boss (first dragon) destroyed me when I went up to it during normal gameplay.Looks like this is one of those games you need to grind levels on. My group was level 5-6 through normal gameplay (going in to combat with every enemy on the map, but not doing a lot of repeats), and the boss was 14.
Was one-shot by basic boss abilities until I leveled up to 12 at which point it became much more manageable when my healer got an opportunity to actually cast a heal.Annoying, but not completely surprising from a JRPG.
